am going to put a heater in if i need to (depends what fish i endup getting)

why waste the $$?? you can always upgrade later ;)

am putting over a strong net over the pond at night, i want non agressive incase i want to do something in the future, i kinda wanna keep it a screat right now

:) 400 gal is very managable
Asagi koi was my dream but couldn't get one.

Also, keep in mind that in a pond that size you may only be able to keep 1 or 2. They are poop machines and need the swimming room.

minnows are so small, i bet that the kois would eat them.

If you dont want koi, i would do a pond and stock it with your native wildlife

They do get pretty big, but they grow slowly only a couple of inches a year. Im actually planning to buy a high fin(keep it in a tank for a few years then a pond).
I would say that fish is probably bigger then what would grow in captivity, I would expect it to be a bit bigger then a koi. I should mention its pretty hard to find info on them since they are rare.

you maybe able to keep it in a tank if you knock it up a couple hundred gallons;)
but there probably best pond fish when they are adults.

They're rare? I have seen them on multiple occasions at my lfs at about 1-1.5", and the rarest fish I know of that they have ever had was an ARTC that they had a couple weeks ago.
