Surround Sound Help

So I guess I should stop bidding on the Sony STR-SE391.7? I have the bose 301's on one side and the Pioneer CS-405"s on the other. I thought this receiver was what I wanted. Onkyo huh? I'm going shopping.

I'm telling ya, Klipsch - I don't know why nobody has mentioned them in here yet. They handle bass better than Bose...head units are awesomesauce.

They're what IMAX use for their THX Surround Sound speaker systems...I think most movie theatre's use them now too...

Klipsch does deserve mention. Along the same lines is paradigm.

^ I'm happy with my speakers. I'm looking for a good Amp/Reciever too. Those do read and look like they would ROCK!

I've got a pair of little 5" ones for my computer with a subwoofer and it's louder than my wife's 3 foot tall Polk Audio speakers in the living room, haha.

They used to sell head units, guess they stopped. I haven't really looked into them outside of what I have for my computer (200 bucks at Best Buy) in years.

This setup right here - blows away anything we've got in the house. I've never gotten it up past half volume...

Crisp - sounds excellent. Beats the pants off the Bose systems right next to them that cost double
