oh no... please let me know... i hope for the best..good job having him 10 years... i hope nothing happened to him.. i never did get a clear answer about their life span... i will try to find out again.. mine are about 8 years..

Short description Food and feeding
This fish will accept quality flakes, sinking pellets and algae wafers. Try to include foods that contain spirulina and give an occasional treat of blood worms.

Origin
The Featherfin catfish originates from the African continent, it is found on the rivers and waterways.

Sexing
There are no visible differences between the sexes.

Breeding
These are egg layers but as of this dater there are no reported cases of them breeding in the aquarium.

Lifespan
Expected life span is 18 years.

Short description
This fish can be difficult to care for. It is very territorial but will tolerate larger tank mates, the larger African cichlids are ideal. They need hiding places in the tank, these can be provided with rocks and wood, they are also perfectly safe with live plants.

I've had four of the Synodontis cats: Eupterus, schoutedeni, angelicus, and brichardi. I never saw the brichardi. It was like a ghost. The angelicus came out sometimes. But the other two swam around and were nice additions to the community.
