Thanks. There is about 10 different thorichthys, and there are a lot of varriations depending on where they are found. The coloration is different and they are found in different locations. The differences are mainly in colors and body shape.

Wow they get allot bigger than I expected, id like a group of these one day.

My female was about 5" and fat when I had to get rid of her because of her aggression. She also had very little spangling but was very gold and still pretty.

Ellioti is more orange on belly. Meeki is more red on belly and throat, and Passiones is more yellow.

I fed mainly hikari cichlid gold along with supplements like bloodworms and various other pellets and frozen/freezedried foods.

I had three of them for only a couple months before two paired off and started spawning. By the third spawn, I was ready and set up a fry tank to grow them out. They were doing well and grew to about 1/2" then suddenly within a matter of days, the fry tank crashed and my male died out of nowhere (went from colored up and swimming fine to dead in about 40 min.) leaving me with 2 females. I was pretty mad.
