Tank Creeking sounds? or RTG Speaking to me?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
'TheBlackPearl' Yes I noticed my RTG's color change after I took out the pebbles from the tank. My RTG is more Pale now compared to its vibrant gold scales and red tail when there use to be pebbles underneath the tank. But then again my RTG might just be nervous due to change. I will have to wait and see once he settles down.

Anyway I got him a Hydro Pump today at Big Al's to give him a little fun in the tank hope he doesn't do anything stupid again. He can't eat pebbles now but he can still jump and bruise himself up.

BTW this is off topic of this ThreadPost. but has anyone ordered things from the Monster Store here? Do their prices include shipping? or is shipping extra???

So I should paint the outter bottom of Tank? Or Inside bottom? if Inside what kinda of paint? I've seen some people have tanks taht have absolutely Black bottom. I dont know what they did to it. I always thought it was Acrylic plastic.

The Tank is Extra Bright right now due to the bare bottom reflecting the light.
The Water pump is totally tossing my RTG from one end to the other haha... I think he likes it though he keeps swimming into and against the current.

Before and After pics when there were pebbles and after i took them out.

NOTICE: My RTG's color change from with Pebble pic to Bare Bottom tank pic. Big DIfference.

maybe the tank is getting to small for him... 800 lb tank would only be 100 gallons. a 10" aro would like a bit of venture space to move. maybe this is why he's croaking/creeking at you telling you to get him a 300 gallon!! lol

300g Tank! :WHOA: I'll croak and tell him to "Shut it!" he needs to be grateful that i moved him to a 100 gallon when he had the left side of a 10 gallon tank that was divided in 2 with another RTG being sold.

I'll upgrade in a year and a half... probably 2 years. The aro's that are kept at the lfs rarely has any swimming space at all. So if they can survive in those tiny tanks I think my rtg should be ok.

I don't think the tanks in the LFS are long term. You've got a year at the most before you really need a bigger tank, or you sell the fish.

I've ordered shirts from there, Cliff. Shipping is extra but very cheap.
