tank ethics

one of my pet peeves is all of the comments (from people who know nothing about fish keeping) on youtube that say "wow, what an awesome tank", or "sweet, that piranha is awsome!", when the guy has a 55 with 2 pacu, 3 oscars, 2 aros, and a red tail catfish. those comments just make the guy feel hes doing nothing wrong because the tank looks cool
oh, and then when someone mentions how overstocked it is, someone else gets on them because they are like "flipping out". i hope that i'm not just yabbering.

How would they know any better? It look awesome to them.
Probably the same people that think fish grow to the same size of the environment or afraid to be wrong.
also people who starve their pirhana and feed them mice and stuff just so they can video tape it and $#!7!!!

A friend of mine bought two bettas a few years ago, and she put them in a subdivided 5 gallon tanks. They can see each others and constantly fight the subdivider. One of them died of stress a few weeks later.

shopmen that try to overstock people's tank by showing off their new stocks

shopman who sells 4X 15inch pacus as 'big piranhas' while keeping them for long period of time in a let us say app. 20 gallon tank
shopmen who think they're great fishkeepers and only sell plants housed whith a large number of fish
shopman who keeps puffers together with finless mono's (thats a sight)
the same store that sells an 6 inch pike and some cuda's in 35cm length tnk
parents making up excuses that I shouldn't do waterchanges (while they keep me responsible for the clearness of the tank and the health of my fish)
people who give me this stunning look when I tell them for how long I can be maintaining my tank whilst I'm thinking the opposite
family that still has the urge to harass my fish by bumping to the glass or making stupid sudden movements and scare the fish
family who nearly force me to overfeed my fish because they didn't see them eat that day
my girlfriend when she wants to offer me a freakin castle for my tank (a castle! and she asks me nearly every week), but instead refuses to buy me a circulation pump or other usefull rdwre
