TANK IS LEAKING

well we have a ace hardware in town and was wondering if they would carry G-E silicone?

got G E silicone 1 smells like viniger BAD to, but i put a whole crap load on the seals.outside and inside. made for windows doors attic and basement. hope this is the stuff cause i like GLOPED it on both sides!

the bottom came off where the thing pushes the silicone out and i had to use a knife to butter it on. stuff on my hands are still on kinda afgter i washed it off many a times

i was told i didndt need to take the old ssealent off now im told i should have grah i dont know what to do, its already on......

well screw it, i just added a glob of silicon and some lil exras on the other sealents ( wenrt leaking but still ) so by wednesday i should beable to fill?

GE silicone 1 clear works. Get a caulk gun and put it on. If you get it on your skin it is a ***** to get off and dries out your skin. Let it sit at least 24-36 hours before you put water in it.

Let it cure all the way...
I wish I would have seen this thread earlier...the most important thing is to clean the glass really really good with alcohol...if there is any residue on the glass the silicone won't stick...
Use masking tape to keep the excess silicone off areas that you don't want it to get...If you have a lamp shine the light on the area about 6" away. The heat and UV will help cure the silicone...When it is cured it will be fish safe and water tight... good luck and sorry I didn't see this sooner...~Zennz
