i've had fish jump out, but never lost one because of it. my ornate jumped n i found it like who knows how long after but it was still alive. aro's jump out sometimes. no deaths.

4 channa bleheri, 3 channa gachua. One of the snakeheads i got jumped out the tank as soon as i got it. I was on MFK posting pics to identify it when i went abck upstairs and it got trapped under the light. =(

I had an Oscar that jumped out a hole while I was sleeping. I heard a big splash then a fish flopping around on the ground so I jumped out a bed at around 3am carefully turn the light on so I dont step on the bugger saw him just under my bed so I grab him and throw him back in. The next morning he was perfectly fine not a scratch on him, I think if I didnt have carpet it would have been a different story considering it's a 5ft drop.

my 15inch gar jumped through the glass lid, behind the canopy lid, and landed behind the fish tank and into my bottom cabinets.

Lost a rope fish who jumped out one night through the tiniest of holes. Also while I was watching the tank a bala I had shot right out the top in the crack for the filter. He survived the jump but dies a few days later. I think he was really sick and trying to expidite his death with the jump.

2 oscars, one as a kid that was around 9" and one last march that was around 6". the 9" guy didn't have a lid, but the 6" fit through the hole I had cut for my intake tube.
