name it LOL. worst was a 2 ft fire eel but he lived. It was VERY tough to get that squirmy bastard back into his tank.

LOL i'm sure it was worth it though.

two posts so far about jumping plecos:eek: Making me paranoid. I just now went around the room and adjusted my tank hoods....seriously LOL

they are too precious, rightly so...

my bichir tries all the time. ive lost 2-3 blue gouramis to jumping. one i actually saw go flying out in the crack between the filter and the hood; put him back in the tank, but next morning it was on the ground :(

Made the mistake of putting 2 red tail black sharks in a 20 gallon tank, together which led to big fights ending with one being driven out of the tank and onto the floor.

Arowana jumping on the gap between cover glasses. Luckily, our maids found him on the floor and returned him to the tank. I wasn't home at that time.

3x Leichardti and African aro. Luckily I was home during all jumps to put them back in ;)

maybe this is stupid of me but I dont have lids on my tank!

My Oscar didn't just jump out of the tank, it attacked me over a bag of Bio-Gold!

had two fish jump, but survive, one was a cichla ocellaris, during a move from one tank to another. and one was my tiger shovelnose at the LFS the day we brought him home.

Hi there,

how do you cover your tanks?

I am thinking about glass panes, what are your experiences concerning adult Oscars and Clarias, could they lift them to escape?

What should be the size concerning the weight of the cover glasses?

:)
