I have an oscar who is a year old in a 75 gallon. I am thinking of getting another fish in the tank, any advice of which fish get a long well with the oscar? There are no other fish in the tank currently
Flower horn /parrot and yeah they should be almost same sizes or one might get feasted on

O should be kept by himself in the 75 no room for tank mates.

I work for a moving company and the end of the month is a great time to look for tanks on craigslist and letgo people need to move and a lot cant take their tanks with them.

You could get an alternative to an oscar, astronauts crassipinis, pretty much the same but only get to around 20cm

Assuming an average oscar will get to 14" a 75 gallon tank is less than 4* it's length and 1.3* it's width... Apply that to other fish.

2" Betta
7" X 2.5" X 2.5" tank?

4" convict
14" X 5" X 5" tank?

6" severum
22" X 8" x 8" tank?

Does that not make it any clearer?

All very tight, no one can deny that...

In today's day and age bare minimum for normally shaped fish is 5x length and 2x width on the footprint. 1.5 X depth is good too really.

Who wants minimum for their pets tho.....
Life ain't a pissing contest especially when other creatures lives are involved.

Back in my teens I had 2 8" oscars 2 years old stunted and both got hith, one died and one I gave to a fish store... Still feel bad for that but I had no internet and poor advice... No excuse nowadays.
