Oscar JD GT and Con in 90, have wet/dry filter and do water changes atleast twice a week and they're happy
sg1;2548836; said:TC, a 75G would be fine for a single Oscar and Severum. IMO a 125,180, or 220 is just silly. Good god I saw some of the people on here tell a guy a few days ago that he needed a 55g for a single JD. Shakes head.
WhitetigerFish;2549100; said:Seriously I have an Oscar, jd, severum, in a 75g and they are healthy and happy as well... People on here think everyone can go out and get a 2000 gallon tank to hold a single fish. Do ur water changes and enjoy your fish, this website can sometimes be a little to high and mighty
Stump;2549216; said:You gotta love some of the replies. It's classic to see people exaggerate.
Also, I am pretty sure no one thinks that a smaller tank is better for a fish than a bigger one. I see it ad nauseum: _______ is good, but even better ________.
Sorry... I guess it's just a pet peeve.

sg1;2549280; said:I bet if I asked on this forum how big would the minimum tank size for a single Neon be, at least one guy would say 50G lol
That's no excuse.Spaz;2549229; said:It's annoying. But in their defence they may have been smoking something.![]()

snoopy65;2549371; said:I am not saying it can't be done. I am just saying the odds of getting both a Severum and a Oscar with good manners isn't the best in the world. Considering the O can reach 15" and the Severum 12"....I know not all do, but COULD.....If they don't play nice, it could be very bad in a 75 where their potential sizes would take up more than half of the length of the tank.
