To all you out there, always asking "How should I build my stand"; Here you have your answer. Up to this point, construction and layout of this stand is perfect... Once done it will outperform a couple of overbuilt / underengineered stands on here.
Job well done
PS. I love how the bike makes its way into all the photos

Looking good! What are you planning on putting in the tank?

wanna get something like convicts/blue acara/electric yellow/yellowbelly not extactly sure of what i want. But i would like to get a couple of convicts to breed and some blue acara's to breed but other than that not sure.

(this is my first decent sized take, old one was a 4' that was home to 2 oscars, unfortunatly my mum does daycare and the little kids she was looking after droped all types of **** in that tank and eventurally killed them both . So this tank is going straight into my room at the end of by bed all for me:drool::))

Thanks for everyone comments much appreicated. My woodwork skills aren't the best, i havn't build anything since high school shop A (woodworks) in yr 10 (bout 4yrs ago) so everything is just remembering how to do the different joints etc and then taking your time with each one (although its tempting to try and just beat them out cause you want the tank already )

I'll try and get another pic update tomorrow, depending how early i finish work I'll try and have the frame completed and together awaiting the ply top, doors and finishing sides

little bit late with the update, soz

Getting the ply was a bit more effort than expected, after delays going out the to the hardware store cause of rain then the timber department being closed when i did get out there it turn into a nightmare just to get me wood.

anyway, minor update as I have a quick break before more work, I got the ply sheet for the top and for the bottom shelf today, I've cut them down to size and just have to notch the bottom shelf in a minute to fit around the legs. Pics will come soonish as i want to get this finished before a picture update.

ok time for some pics

I picked up the ply today like a I said before, I got 2 sheets, one for the bottom shelf and formply for the top

To morrow should be able to get the final assembly together with top and bottom on. From there its just the finishing sheeting of which my bother is going to ask one of his mates who is a cabinet maker to see if we can get some @ wholesale price :D

*note that there aren't any bottom cross rails in the pics, they are there was just a dry run to check the level of the top so i didn't bother putting them in yet
