Tank Stand Design 8'x2.5'x2' tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Lookin good! One small question...is there a reason why the top sheet is an inch or so short of the stand at each end? Never built anything like this myself before and was curious.

I'm still wondering why it's not welded steel :D ..nice work though, it's going to be a nice setup..

Nice work bro! Have you considered including a 24/7 drip system into the design? It wouldn't be that difficult if you got it all organised now and water changes on that thing would be a b1tch (with the drip system you won't ever have to do any water changes) ...

FWIW

Good luck!

Again!

Top Notch work!

Keep us updated!

I Love the New Graphic!

Do you mind if I steal it??

its an inch short on either end cause that the biggest sheet i could get of formply for the top was 8' where as the stand itself is 8' 2. I'm gonna cut another strip of the left over form ply to cover those ends and then maybe lath (sp?) a vertical beam up to support the canopy.

I would love to setup a 24/7 drip system but since i'm living at home with parent its not the best idea to go down well:ROFL:. Besides water changes won't be too much of a hassle as the storm water drain is just outside my sliding door. So i can hook up a hose to the T (or Y) piece and turn the valve on the side that goes to the sump and use gravity to empty 20% (sump will hold a little more than 20% of tank).

Thanks for all the comments, much appreciated I'm off to uni now

Good news :D old man is off night shift so I could continue work earlier than a bit on each weekend. So this arvo I finished off putting on the outer ply and cut up and put on the corner covers. Hopefully tomorrow I will have enough time to cut and attach the bottom kick rail and maybe even the top rail.

anyway less of me blabbering and more pics :)
