TANKED NEW SEASON!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They dont care about cycling or even the fishs health. 00rollins made me hate this show even more

Thanks that's what I sort of thought but I have no experience with salt water tanks. I love this show?? Thats what I thought before reading this thread. After hearing what 00rollins said Im pretty upset that they would or do get away this that ish.

I always had my suspicions about how they really were but he finally gave a first hand account

The first time I saw this show I was screaming to my wife about how grossly overstocked they had the tanks and how they didn't cycle the tanks. big tall tanks with little tiny sumps, no/ little gas exchange it would seem.

wow that show sucks.

"If the sharks get too big where they cant move just give us a call and we will come give them a bigger home"

It was hard enough moving them the first time and if there 3 ft bigger how do they plan to move them?

Lol the shark can 6-7 feet so just call us when it can't move or kills every thing in your tank. We'll take it an give it to another sucker.

When I heard them say that I laughed. Why stock a shark that you cant even keep in there for a long time.

I just watched a few episodes for the first time the other day. I haven't seen many episodes so my judgements may very well be undeserved. From what I saw it was nothing but fabricated drama for "entertainment". I was seriously hoping for an interesting show but I should have known better than to expect anything even slightly academic. I could entirely see the horror show of the fish tank as described by 00rollins. This show seems to be setup to give tanks to those not interested themselves to do the research and everything required to properly run a tank. Like I said the show is one of those scripted reality shows created just for the drama, if that's what you want this show is probably for you. But if you were hoping for a show detailing the building, setup, and fish used each episode you'll get about 3-5 minutes of that each episode.

Did u not see the truckload of sea water they put in the ortho shark tank??!!!!

So they set up nice tank with nice fish and if properly maintain cleaned and wc they should live imo. I mean their job is to build custom tanks for fishkeepers who should know enough to keep their own fish alive!

the fish died 2 months later and its atms fault??! lol

Id love one of their tanks - the fake coral of course and im not saying their masters or sw and fw fish by any means but they do build crazy awesome tanks!

So everything you see on TV actually didn't happen or was staged for production value. Wow big surprise :duh:

I know for a fact that tanked is fully staged BS. I was able to see the filming of the show in person. This season will air an episode were they build a tank into an orthodontics office in west islip ny. I was there. They built a rediculously awsome tank that is acctually built into the buildind, i mean it cant be removed part of the structure. So filming day they are all there sitting around all day doing nothing while hired help fills this gigantic tank for hours. They provide written script to the doctor as he has to react on camera to the tank. Then reshot all the the scenes several times, completly false from start to finish, not reality tv just acted like anything else on tv. Not the worst, they always talk about acclimation, this was a salt water shark tank, they threw thousands of dollars worth of fish into this tank without any acclimation at all. Several nice sized sharks and a ton of other salt water fish that should not have been with the sharks. Within 48 hours only 2 fish were left alive a small shark blinded by bashing himself into the wall ofnthe tank and a large nurse shark that almost burst from eating so many dead fish. It was a horror show. The doctor hadnto pay for all the fish. The tank is free from the show. Seriously disturbing what so called fish lovers will do for money and fame. The filters were not even ready to be used these guys filmed and walked out fish started dieing within hours. These guys are scum.

I knew about the fake reality part but the other part is extreme! If what you say is true then that is terrible! I knew for a fact they didn't care about fish or the tank in the first place but never thought that would happen.
