TANKED on Animal Planet

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I love the show but this keg tank was horrible to me too many peacocks and the coral was a bad idea in the tank.
I agree, a coral look and cichlids, really, really. They could have used a rock style 3D back ground. Not to mention, there was no space for the fish.
But as for the show I actually like it. Its funny sometimes...

The last episode was better. In my previous rant I asked for some nuggets of info on the acual setup and building process. The keg tank had a little of that. They mentioned how they bent the acrylic, at what temp, for how long, and what they do after. They showed how the cross was being manufactured with an OSB skeleton. This is what I want more of. Whether I agree or not with using OSB in a tank, I like seeing how it's done.

I hope to see more.

It was kind of funny because I put the show on and started yelling at the TV and my wife asked me why I'm watching it if it bugs me. Then they showed the bow tank being made and I yelled THANK YOU! haha

I frowned when they added coral inserts to the keg tank... with the cichlids in it

I'm sure the guys know their craft but the show has been a real disappointment for me. I'd prefer something more educational in nature that focused on the tank builds and the fish in them. I can do without all of the attempts at humor and drama. But with all that said, it is a reality show. So it is what it is.

They seem to be quick, custom, showmen to me. No real thought into aquatic environments, just show and how fast can we do it. To me, I would much rather see smaller less crazy tanks done with the "biotope" design. But thats me. I watch because it's the only show that has anything to do with our hobby on TV (right now).

YEA I laughed myself..CORAL in a FRESHWATER? Really? Really?

I think the show could be improved, as I said I like natural looking tanks, and I agree these fellows move way to fast, but I'm glad the show is on as opposed to not on, I enjoy it
