tankmates lost to bichirs?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ive seen my sen nip at my oscars fins lol. but he's never eaten any of my fish.

i have a small one 3-4 inches, with a few other 3-4 inch fish...anyways my ornate decided my baby TSN was small enough to eat...:thumbsdow

My big tank has all sorts of sized fish; smallest being Buenos Aires and Black Widow Tetras right upto my Ornate (35cm) and Redhead cichlid (25cm). Haven't lost any tetras for 9-12 months, but I found a Keyhole cichlid with a ornate sized bite missing from it's belly stuck to the FX5 intake this week. :( Obviously it's getting bored with the Novo Tabs and deli shrimp.

I lost my first poly to an eating accident. Many moons ago I thought I had the ultimate odd-ball tank with all sorts of mad fish. My Senegal decided to try some fugu sushi... a young figure eight puffer. Needless to say the senegal died, but the puffer survived! And shes still here today, currently hovering over some neddle leaf java fern in my brackish tank next to the computer...

Stu :)

yea same my bichir is in with 2 oscars a fire mouth and a texas so he dosent bother them & they ignore him so all he eats is feeders.

Several of my cutteri grow outs, an entire school of 2.5" Odessa barbs, and a banded gourami were eaten by one of my sens when she was about 5". Since then, I've had one cutteri vanish but that's it.
