Tankmates with JARDINI (READ!!!)

gday,iv had my jar for 5 years and is now 20''.he lives with 20'' ID shark,18''TSN,2 14'' clown knifes,19'' giant gourami,6'' syndontis,14'' cigar barb and a 13''murry cod.the only fish he occassionally has a dig at is the giant gourami which sometimes gets its tail torn.but apart from that,they all get along fine.they are in an 8x2x2.

You certainly have an impressive tank! Would you have any photos of your full tank?

How did all your monsters come about meeting each other. Did you grow them up all together the same time or did you had separate tanks or bought them when they were larger?

In regards to jardini's tankmates, I read one of the post that someone had a black ghost knife in harmony with the jardini.

Can I ask, has anyone tried a BGK fish with a jardini here?

Just did an experiment putting my BGK fish with the jardini. And the verdict is NO.

I think the white bit of the BGK fish resembles too much like worms and the jar was just going for it.

i successfully intergrated a 8 inch spotted purch with my 14 inch jardini....my purch just spikes the jardini if he gets out of line... i think this is going to work!!!!!!!! but i still need to get rid of my jardini...

excuse my newbie ignorance but is the jardini the Australian Saratoga?

I was thinking of getting one to go in my 1000gal pond with a 13 inch oscar and some koi.

sounds like i'd be risking all of them - not that i care about the koi, they are a bit soft anyway.
