If by lake you mean ponchetrain then o yeh I have fished that. There are some nice trout in there but you have to be willing to put some time in and when they are running you have to be willing to deal with others on the water wich is not really my thing. We used to fish the lake for monster gar and pulled a few out of there over 5ft. I have a buddy who refuses to go back to lake ponchetrain because we had caught a 4.5ft bull shark in there. Sometimes I am amazed whats in that lake

I know I have some pics of all these fish laying around somewhere I can scan in to my computer at home.
We fish out of four bayou's pass for bull red and a little stretch called crooked bayou for big drum. Every now and then they will run up by my camp near the docks and you get lucky. Otherise we use cracked crab or 16-20 count shrimp. Man this really makes me want to take some time off work.
yea i was talkn about pont. read all the time the fish are really gettn nice in there. im just closer to the coast so we allways go that way. a freind of mine told me they had a shark attack mon. on the brenton sound. my local paper made a mention about it. not what happened or what kinda shark. but i think the guy was surf fishn.
Yeh if I wasent at work I would have long been in bed. Anyways we heard of sharks in the lake but actually catching that one was a shock. Ill have to look into that attack.
