Everythings running when i put my hands in the tank, although, i do look at the heater... i got shocked by a cracked cheap one:ROFL:

:ROFL:I unplug the hob's when the water gets to low during changes. Other than that, no.
 
A GFCI is a must especially if you are using a groud probe. Once you install a ground probe you have provided a definite path to ground, which increases the chance of electrocution.
 
everything is left on. and i reach in just to mess with the hermit crabs in my saltwater puffer tank... which by the way is also my biggest stocking risk iv ever taken. and it was successful.

No path to ground, there is a chnce that you could put your hand in the tank and not feel anything even with voltage present.
