Yeah honestly some koks get to be way too big. Big enough to the point it starts causing health issues and swimming problems in some. My FH Jr. was even pushing the limits when his kok got to the size of a baseball while only being 10 inches long. He had problems when it can to swimming and eating, he had a hard time coming up to the top of the tank to eat his floating pellets because he kok always pushed them away. A big kok is alright but I definitely agree that it should be more about color, pearling, and personality then anything else. The hybrid was created to have significant hump size as Chinese believed that it brings good luck. I don't know why it became the most desired trait somehow, are we just following a trend/craze? I think a decent size is better than enormous one. Color, pearls, fins, body shape, aggressiveness are equally if not more important.
Decent is subjective, and I mean this size when I say decent (higher end though)
