ive seen them go up for air to breathe before.
even before i put them in the containers.

I was thinking the same. Adding air stones in there would be a great idea.

Another great holding tanks are those little turtle tank. The big ones are a great fit for many tank openings.

i cant lie. i actually got the idea from r1. i think it was about a year ago when he had a big laundry basket floating in his 600. i think it was housing some azul growouts.

you mean critter cages?or?
i will be setting a pump to blow at the containers for the moment.
lots of water flow then...
but i still have to manually remove the shrimp...
too big and heavy to float out.
