How about the interview with colt mccoy after the game? I can't stand when people ask stupid questions! What the heck do you think it feels like to WATCH the team you lead all year lose the national championship. Both are good teams, I give texas a lot of credit. They could of crawled under a rock at halftime and took a beating, instead they fought back into the game. Bama is lucky they had that pick 6 before the half, glad to see a good game out of what could of been a real bad.

And to have Gilbert with such little experience as the back up.
I was stunned when it was 21-24. They did very well with the backup after they knew they weren't going to win it in 1 play.Rockbass6;3767660; said:

Damn.... Bama won but were they the better team??? Nothing went right for the Horns tonight, Colt got hurt EARLY, receivers dropped balls, too many stupid penalties, calls never went their way.. They hung in there and played their heats out, I think gilbert will be a good QB, he showed signs of that tonight. Bama chose to run it up at the end there, oh well.. Bama won and I give them credit. Two meaningless Tds in the end, a gimme TD @ the end of the 2nd half. The way I see it Bama got lucky, but hey Im a Longhorn fan...

I wish Colt hadnt got hurt. Now we will have to hear the BS excuses all year. However, I am pretty certain the tide would have won even if Colt played the whole game. Look at the first series with Colt in there, goal line stand and then we do it again the next series.
Plus if you think Texas almost came back, you have to understand Saban's coaching. He is VERY conservative (thats why receiving to begin the game and fake punt were real shockers) and he knew that our D had total control so on offense he just had them burn the clock and not worry about putting points up. Gilbert moved the ball and scores and then what happens? Saban ramps up his offense and moves the ball. Alabama's rushing game had zero problems against the Texas D (the best Rush D in the nation). The tide should be great next year, Richardson and Ingram will be back and even though they losing critical players on the defense (McClain, Mount Cody, Arenas) we still have some great players returning.
All in all I am glad the Tide won, but feel really bad for Colt, sucks to finish out his Collegiate career like that. A real class act while talking to the reporter at the end of the game.
