Ohhhh I LOVE this thread. Alabama won, doesn't matter if it was luck or a fluke or if they kicked Texas's butt. They won, and I hate to say it but they did. It doesn't matter how, in the end it is a big fat W in the record books.

Could the Texans have come back in second quarter? Sure they coould have and almost did but they blew it. Texas blew it, backup QB or not.

It was a fun game to watch, ask anyone it was fun and made people yell in excitement at every play. Go Texas, but OBVIOUSLY Alabama won. 5 Years from now the books will say Alabama won the national championship, not complain how they won or if Colt got hurt, but that they won.

I mean seriously. Using the TX sore loser logic:

What if Bradford hadn't gotten hurt in the BYU vs OK game? Would OK have won the Big 12 title? I think they would have. It's not fair that TX won. In fact I think OK was the better team. OK should have been playing at the NC because OK lost their QB to an injury. It's not fair. I wonder how great a game OK would have played if they hand't lost their QB. I guess we'll never know.

Did I ever say what team I follow? NO. I am a fan of college football. The point is Alabama had the perfect cards delt. Their team isn't even impressive. Why would I follow Texas? I am from Pennsylvania. Texas was the far better team that is what I'm saying, but anyone can loose on a given night. You LUCKED OUT. As for your "powerhouse conference" Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss St, Georgia...Vanderbilt? Those teams are so intimidating. We always have to play in the south too. That year LSU played OHIO ST for the title that would of been like LSU coming up here and playing on the browns field against the buckeyes. I am a fan of the Northern teams that get constantly trash talked. Look at these games you won all real tough teams here Chattanooga, North Texas, FIU, Kentucky?? ahahaha No wonder that defense was rated so high half the teams they play don't know how to tie their shoes!

you advocate settling it all on the field with a play off system, and then you go on to naysay the team that won ON THE FIELD. This is just resentment. Look at the facts. We won. The team you say is better lost. Football is a game of field position where you play the cards your dealt. We play better than other teams with those cards. Period. We have the crystal football. We won, and no amount of resentment is going to change that. The better team won. That's the funny thing, if texas had won I wouldn't be on the web whining about the cards which we were dealt. I would concede that the better team had won. In fact, every bama fan I know congratulated texas on playing a superb game despite the hand that was dealt to them. Our guys worked harder, made bigger plays, and didn't rely on one individual to make things happen. That's why we are CHAMPIONS.

yeah that was wild. I was at the game and we all thought it was hilarious. I hope they gave that young man a TV in his cell so he could watch the rest of the game.
