Yup no problems.

HDBs in singapore here are generally much more solid than average apartment overseas.
though a tank like this, i would have to notify them and apply for permission [I didn't :D]

Wow didn't know must notify them. Like how?

Thanks for all the congrats!

Try adding some plastice eggcrate around the overflow. Might stop him.
What exactly is making the noise in the overflow? The water going over the overflow in the tank, or the water as it enters the sump?

There is already an eggcrate. But the large holes are no match for the sleek body of a ropefish. I added PVC mesh ontop of the eggcrate and a filterpad on top of the sheet of mesh. Only downside, I have to clean the filterpad frequently, oh well for my fishes, i'm willing to waste another 5 min cleaning it daily. Besides it also acts as a prefilter so that my filter socks below doesn't get clogged.

As for the other issue, i'll say both. But i fixed the latter by submerging the drainpipe down into the water. Also added a huge filter sock. Now there is still noise in the overflow but its bearable.

Wow that's a crazy big tank. It's awesome. That's wacky it being on the 6th floor though. Hope it doesn't fall through.

Lets hope so, im guarentee my neighbour below would be pissed if 360g of water just slam into him from above when he is asleep. But as leeishom mention, my apartment is made of concrete and steel bars so im confident it will hold.

Check out HDB website

Ok will do. But it would have to wait till saturday since i'm only free on that day to get the parts.

Some UPDATES!

Here is the sump currently
Water enters from the overflow, dumps into a filter sock, flows down the baffles into the bioballs and down another baffle to the 3rd chamber where the pump is located. Additional equipment include a powerhead, eheim jager 50w and a UV sterliser.

The overflow, added a filter pad on top to prevent my rope from entering the sump and serves as a prefilter to lengthen the interval between cleaning my filter socks.

Monster fishtank = Monster filter sock
For size reference, the opening is wide enough to slot 4 cans of coke in vertically. Also added a smaller filter sock in it

Bioballs, added a powerhead to circulate them so that it works like a moving bed filter. As seen in the first picture.

Sump is powered by an eheim pump. Not sure about the pump size though

Ok so i know that some of you are pissed from seeing the sump and not the tank. As much as I would like to take a FTS, with just the lights in my room, all I took was a blackbox! Gotta wait till I buy a 6ft light fixture.

By alas, didn't want to keep you in suspence so I dragged out a 4ft light fixture which can barely iilluminate the tank. So here is my HTS [Half tank shot]
