That looks amazing. I just finished painting the back of a tank with the same dimensions. Gonna be setting it up within the next few weeks, can't wait.

Ok so i did alittle research on durso overflow.

The most common design is this

I was wondering, instead of a Tee, elbow and a cap. Could I just buy 2 elbows and just make a U-turn, would that still quiet the overflow? Because Tee and caps are expensive here.

i dont think so, isnt theend cap so that you have an air valve up there? to help act as a siphon break?

No idea, I'm a noob at overflow pipe. So what if there isn't a siphon break? Does it matter?

The hole in the cap isn't a siphin break. It's there to allowair into the pipe. It won't work properly without it. The T is very neccessary.
The siphon break goes on the return line and is extremely important. Without it, when the power goes out, the return line will create a siphon and drain your tank down to it's lowest point. This overflows the sump and gives your neighbours downstairs an unwanted shower.

Cool. That is a good deal. I got about 700 u.s in my 75 gallon tank i just set up for my del

Would it be possible to go cheap and just thread a piece of airline tubing through the 2 elbows as an air supply source? And my return line doesn't have a siphon break. It just drains when i off the power, but my sump is only half filled and is able to take that extra volume.
