Same here. My wife is not really into the hobby but she enjoys watching the tank, helps me if needed it and I have her unconditional support (I never had to hide how much I'm paying for fish or some other crazy things LOL). IMO is healthier to have different hobbies as long as some common interest is present as well as mutual understanding.

hows your pbass doing in the tank!? i think we need new full tank shots!

btw, do you notice that your st hides with large driftwood added to the tank? mine is usually preetty bold but when i transferred him to my 300, he loves hiding behind the big stump. maybe i have to pull the stump out lol

Kelberi is doing great now ..just started to eat . I'll post some updates soon.
Some of my smaller dats like to hide under the driftwood sometime, but that's fine with me. Your driftwood piece is very nice and IMO adds alot to the tank.

thanks! yea the dw is pretty big. when my st goes behind it, i cant even see the st and hes 17 inches!

hes out and about now. i think after i added my bass, he was a little shy. sts swimming all around the tank once again. which is good or else that piece of wood would be taken out lol.
 
Beautiful setup bro. Any close up pics of the sump/filtration on this beast? I love the footprint, I would like to do something similar for my festae pair.
 
awesome setup, can you describe more of your filteration? why did you go with filter socks? what is the fx5 for, chemical filteration or additional mechanical? what are you using for biologicial filteration?

i also have a midwest custom aquarium which i purchased or so years ago, i'm glad he's still doing great work.
