Hi Wyld,

I assume the 2262 is holding up well. Usual Eheim quality? I'm curious about the noise level (feel free to compare it to other Eheim models). That's a monster pump in there...

Going great, and pumps like a champ. Standard Eheim quality, and no louder than any other eheim I've had, even with the 900+GPH rating on the pump.

Bigger version of the 2260, I think its about 250gph more than a 2260. Down side is ive read its a but louder than the 2260.

That's with no media in the filter-full of media it's probably about 600 gal per hour depending on the head.
The FX 5 is very quiet and has about the same rating of 925 gal per hour without media.I paid 279.00 for mine.How much is the Eheim?

The tank is understocked considering you have 4+ messy plecs, a knife and a Birchir. That probably creates more bio-load than my tank filled with angels, convicts, clown loaches, bala sharks, RTBS, tetras, livebearers and rasboras.

I ordered a Eheim 2262 last week and I can't wait to receive to set it up. I hope its not as loud as some have said it to be. Btw WyldFya, How's your set up in the canister?
