why would you get flamed?

i order a bowl of clam chowder whenever i try a new restaurant just to see how they are. i had an excellent serving at a place in San Diego one time. it was served in a loaf of gutted out bread

It seemed as if you all were mentioning fresh, made to order soups and Friendly,I suspect use some canned brand,love it though.

Wor Won Ton soup! Now you're talkin!! Now that I think about it, I think it IS my favorite!!

Some day I will get a recipe and make it myself.

ah, that's the spot dude, that little vietnamese area right there has the best pho places in socal

for vietnamese style lobster and salt/pepper squid, i go to newport seafood. their's is the best in that area that i've been to.

for pho, the place on the same lot as newport seafood is where i go. they are the only place that will have a duck drumstick in their pho. it's my fav spot. on NewHope and 1st street.

there's a spot in Fresno called Pho 99 I think, their XXX large pho comes in a bowl that's big enough to bath a baby in it. it's gotta be like a gallon size bowl. I've had that a couple of times and can never finish it,......... but one day I'll triumph
