i know some places make their own noodle in house, do you know if they do that? either way i'd love to try this if i ever get the chance. i hardly go out that way, it's a good drive for me. not so far, but not so close either.

john lives in that area, maybe he can chime in

Pho is the best! Especially for being in Colorado lol Clam chowder is also up there

I went to Alaska a few years ago and there was a little hole in the wall place a few miles out of Seward that served their fresh salmon chowder, it was the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. I begged for the recipe but it also was a well kept secret. They had won numerous awards for it.

chilli is pretty much a soup in itself too.

last time i had chili was from wendy's, i don't care what people say, their chili is bomb

Wow,just what I was getting at.Wendy's chili is the best I've had.

i'm sure you can google it. home made pho is excellent. the main ingredient is the broth. get that right and your pho will taste great. boil a pot of water, add bones with meat on it (beef, and not sure which parts exactly), add beef balls from your local asian market, chopped onions, salt and black pepper.

then get your rice noodle, tripe, thin slices of beef, tendon, shrimp, bacon (yes bacon, cooked to a crisp and crushed into pieces), green onion, cilantro, lime, bean sprout, mint leaves, oyster sauce, hoisen sauce, sriracha hot sauce, fish sauce, crushed peanuts are generally what people put in pho

wow thats alot of ingredients.. no wonder it is so delicious.. thanks .. i will definitly find it..

well for me the top of the line is the korean soup "YOOK GAE JANG" dam this soup is boom.. makes you come back to life... recomended big time!!!

[h=2]Preparation[/h]In a medium saucepan, bring the stock to a boil. Stir in the rice and cook until tender, about 8 to 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, beat the egg yolks and lemon juice together in a large bowl.
When the rice is tender, slowly ladle half of the hot broth into the yolks to temper them, whisking constantly. Whisk the egg yolk mixture into the broth and place over low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, just long enough to thicken the soup. Do not boil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
add your own note

is this how you make it.
