Convicts

Never really liked them wasn't even into cichlids that much till i joined MFK and was looking for a mid water fish and cichlids seem to fit the bill

Convicts just all ways seemed like really common dull fish plus everyone who puts two in a tank had them breed and ended up with a few dozen so i've all ways thought i would never buy a convict cichlid but now i have owned many and find them to be a very injoyable fish

African cichlids for me. I always thought SA/CA cichlids were more interesting than Africans in general. However, I now own three male peacocks (Aulonocara), and I really like their intense coloring.

I never wanted to get a betta. My black crowntail is now my new baby........

A comet for me i unwanted by a friend and know is living with my convicts untill a friend compleats his pond...

I never wanted a Jardini. I always thought they looked kinda fugly, and that they were just a cheap asian substitute... but now I have 3! I love their personalities! ZOMG!

convicts and large aggressive fish. I always used to prefer the community tank. I joined this site and bam I wanted a solo pred. I now have a midas and female con.

A common gourami. Originally I bought it to be a dither fish for my fahaka puffer to see if i could keep it in a community setting, now it has become one of the fish I've kept the longest 5+ years.

Truth is the fahaka never killed it, and it won't die.

Clown Loaches
When we bought our 1st tank (a 75 gal) my fiance was all about clowns... i called them "crack fish" and wasnt really into them, didnt want too many. Now - i CANT WAIT to setup the 180 as a river tank for as many clowns as i can get in there!!!
