I dont think they will be illigal for invaive reasons, I mean we allredy have silver/black/jardini's...they will stay illigal because it will take the gov 40 years to get around to changeing the law.

it would be sweet to have magical water test kit to tell you if there is any types of diseases in the water/fish, and to see a fishes stress level lol

I bet snakeheads will be legal and people will reminisce about how awesome it was to keep some other species.

Genetically altered fish! Artificial insemination, custom hybrids, line- breeding of true species! And all performed by the hobbyist. I'd love to keep a RTC that only grows to 12". Maybe spawn two fish that have never swam in the same tank or, for that matter, lived in the same country. Hmmm, the possibilities are endless.
THE FUTURE OF PIRANHAS!!!!!!!!

well i left the hobby 10 years ago and it was UGF and HOB filters , glass heaters and decal backgrounds and finding bigger than a 55g tank locally was unheard of...

now im running a locally bought (cheap) 75g with FX5 and aquaterra background with "unbreakable" heater ..and i even had the option of doing an inline heater...internet has change MY view of the hobby completely...no longer a slave to the LFS tetras and mollies

10 years from now i see all in one systems..advanced acrylic tanks complete with filter heater r/o water changers.all hidden under or over tank..basically hook up like dishwasher and plug in ..no more w/c ..

i'd like to see cheaper stuff, and hopefully more simple stuff too. going from undergravel filters and sponge filters to hobs, to canisters, and to sumps, filtration seems to get more complicated lol

But better at the same time. And saying that filtration is complicated is kind of :screwy:. I personally think filtration is not complicated at all, it just depends on how you look at it I guess.
