The MONSTER Fluval G series!!!

I think the g series was marketed and priced for the enthusiast crowd. I loved my fx5 but the g is a filter you'll never find on any of my tanks unless it was free.

at the end of the day a filter is the kidney of your tank so you want it to last as long as possible don't you

depends on if you want a really really clean tank for like 10 years ...

or a really clean tank for 20 years ...

its all personal preference , id roll with the fx5 just because of the initial cheaper cost , i could buy 2 of them for the price of another filter that did something close to what it did. Then when it broke , id have another one.
