Who are you, where did you come from and where do you get this info? Your first post.....It's a pressurised canister filter with electronic functions and a new super-fine polishing cartridge filter.
think an Eheim pro 3 e on steroids.
it's not as big as the FX5... and the series sits between the 05 series of canister filters and the FX5.
the system uses bespoke cartridges in the filter body for nearly all it's media.
believe me when i tell you, you WILL want one of these beauties on your tank.
NOT AS BIG?! Why Hagen? Why?!!!!!!
kinda odd thats your first post .. what do you know .. how do you know it .. and can you tell us more???Cichlidstein;3410682; said:It's a pressurised canister filter with electronic functions and a new super-fine polishing cartridge filter.

Bespoke means highly customized and tailored to the end users specifications... soo........
I am guessing the pump is on the top and water is pulled up through the center of the cartridges while the water pass through the top of the sponges on the sides down to the next cartridge through that sponge and to the next cartridge then into the center media compartment that will possibly hold less than the Fx5. Either way, you still need to remove the bio media with the cartridges to clean the sponges.
If this is how it works, seems like a great way to reduce the surface area and promote clogging.
CichlidStein,
Does this filter use a down graded impeller compared to the Fx5?
How does the water flow through this filter? What is the bio volume? What is the mechanical surface area?
