The MONSTER Fluval G series!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the fine filter cannot be modded... it's a pleated cartridge of woven material... like in those ocean clear filters
Then buying a large whole house filter with a pleated filter with MUCH more surface area can drastically increase performance.

Hagen has the wrong idea. There is profit by making products look as though they are worth it, then there are filters that are worth just as much as what they look like.

Personally. My Fx5 will blow this Fluval G series out of the water. I will make sure of it. Does hagen really want to try and stick their fingers in a world they know nothing about? Faulty Design, Bad engineering, cheap pumps circuits, profits in non profitable areas is the world they know.

NOTICE THE MOST IMPORTANT MESSAGE THE TELL EVERYONE ON THE DEMO VIDEO! "The Most Advanced FLUVAL Filter". Obviously they can not compete with Eheim.

The Fx5 is worth no more than $250. The Fluval 405 filter is worth no more than $100. They do not know how to price their filters or design them. They have lied to the community.

Did they really say the word "Bespoke"?

Sorry but the cartridge idea blew me out of the water and really pushed the wrong buttons.

:chillpill:

i used the word bespoke.

These GE Water filters can handle 240-1200 GPH. They also come with CLEAR housings. Easily adapt barbed fittings to them, easily changeable and has a lot more surface area than Hagens Design.

Filter runs about $90 and cartridge runs about $17.

Personally. Pillow stuffing and filter fiber works just as good while not performing micron filtration.

fluval g series just sounds sweeet i wonder what it will cost??? probably very expensive

The G series won't interest me as I want a bigger FX5 something with the same mechanical surface area but with 20L of bio media capacity.
The minute I heard cartiages I thought money grab by Hagen wanting buyers to use their prefab media products.
"Hagen" give me a better FX5 something maybe with an adjustable flow, maybe a 24hr programable flow computer and definately with much more bio media.
If your listing Hagen that's what I want and I am sure many others would agree, the G series won't get my money.

Eheim ftw

The G series does not interest me in the least. The whole idea of special cartiages & special media is a real turn off.
Since I found out about pressurized pond filters & what they're capable of, I think I wasted my $ when I bought an fx5.

quote from the co. Pondmaster
Backwash:Open the safety ball valve that is mounted in the "waste" line. Rotate the main valve knob to the "Backwash" position. The pump may be running during this operation. Turn the agitator handle left to right and repeat approximately 10-20 times until the water comes out of the waste line nearly clear. If the agitator handle becomes difficult to move, turn the main valve to the "rinse" position to clear the accumulated debris from the agitator mechanism. Then, return to the "backwash" position and continue moving the handle to clear out the remaining debris.RinseThe rinse operation works the same as the backwash except the water goes through the filter in the opposite direction to help remove any clogs inside the filter. Rotate the main valve knob to the "rinse" position. Open the shutoff valve at the "waste" line. Turn agitator handle left to right approximately 10 times. When the water comes out nearly clear, rotate the main valve knob to the filter position, then close the shutoff valve on the waste line to resume filtering. The gauge should read 0-2 PSI normal filter pressure.Filter CleanoutAt the end of the season the filter can be cleaned and winterized. If you backwash regularly, or have a bottom drain and/or non-freezing conditions you may never need to do this.

Next time this is what I'm buying. Plus they are cheeper than an fx5.

I see the point... A lot of people say that the extra features of the Pro3 aren't really needed, now, would Hagen make another "smart filter" that has a lot of extra features? "Future of Filtration" - special media? Media prices are already high.
