You could get an xl net and hold him in the tank by resting the net across the top supports... awesome fish, thats exactly what you want in a big aggressive cichlid imo, who wants a nervous fish thats hiding all day!-) keep hold of that one, its like he has a doviis brain lol...

Haha awesome RD. Try one of the blade edged algae cleaners, its obviously got a long handle so you can avoid being bitten, just make sure to keep it flush against the glass so your fish doesn't hurt himself.

Saw the title to this thread and wondered why someone made a wolf fish thread and put it in the Cichlid section........ lol

That video was fueled by alcohol, and I have not sustained any injuries since. I am looking at the mag float, or the agueaon equivilent, but the big mag is $125 The smaller ones are around $40, does anyone have these, and would they suffice for the midas and and a dovii. My dovii cowers in the back corner right now during water changes, but has much bigger teeth, and would rather not risk it.

I have never seen a wolf fish, except on video, but they really don't seem to be very aggressive to me.They are obviously apex predators, and will eat anything that they can, but from what ii have seen of them, if it is not food it is not important. Here is a link to a jag starting a fight he can not finish.

I use a mag float with stellar results. My bet is, it's exactly what you need. I don't even take it out. I just leave it "parked" on a corner of the tank.
