  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
seen allot of aggressive fish on the net, but from personnel fish be the female jag, not that the male is not, but have not had to slap him back into the tank like a hand ball as he flies out of the water to bite me. she hates nets the worse, but does not go for the net but the hand holding it. some for the algae scrubber.

Pops, I would not put any fish in the tank with Ben unless it was wearing chain mail. I am going to start a new thread about him, since the pit bull reference, and most aggressive fish comment have garnered more attention than the fish.

miss understood the thread, you are talking about "your" fish. love to see them, :)

or him/her

what? :nilly:

Beautiful Midas you have. I've had my share of them. They are actually pretty mild in large tanks. Cichlids in general are just territorial not aggressive. Wolf, jardini, dorado..... Lots of fish that show true aggression.

May just be sematics, but territoriality is how I would qualify aggressiveness. A typical male betta is one of the most aggressive fish on the planet, but because of its size, most people would say otherwise. My lfs sells alligator gar for $20, in a year I could have one that eats my midas, dovii, or pretty much any other fish I could get, but in the mean time that foot long gar would be hard pressed to survive their aggression.

aggressiveness and predation are different things rob...
