the most boring fish

and so could it be the most boring fish are those that are rarely move at all?
I agree that raphael cat could be boring cause I have similar fish in my tank, and I am keeping with my corys, however, what I first interested about raphael was its body structure, spiky and armory. Its head also look funny though. But its behaviour which rarely move and hardly to be seen in the tanks make them rather boring to keep. On the other hand plecos too can also be boring. I only like them when they are big cause I can see the pattern cleary on its body. I think plecos are more like workers fish, those that are cleaning your glass.
By the way, I also think that having 1 type of fish in your tank is really boring? No?

thats all relative. only having cardinal tetras..... maybe kinda boring. Having a whole colony of neolamprologus brichardi..... not so boring. Its all relative to how much you appreciate the species you choose. I also have a species tank of crystal red shrimp. most FW shrimp are kept in a species tank and some are very striking in appearance.

true, so far out of all the fish I keep till now I've never get bored with my bichirs. I keep them together with my CKs. I prefer alot variety in my tanks.

most cichlids other than pbass and oscars. they got me into the hobby but i'm over them.

i find the most boring type of fish is gold fish.. the fat ones.. i mean to me.. they look retarded... i almost feel sorry for them.. they dont swim much and they eat all the time..

and not to mention they act as if their brain has shut down... i dunno.. every time i see someone who wants a fish and say.. oh.. "how about a gold fish" at petsmart just pisses me off.. since theres a whole row of other fish available.. and they have to pick gold fish... :irked:

african cichlid tanks are so boring they all look the same and they dont really do much , one swims past another tries to bite it and repeat its a bit like techno music.

one of the funniest posts i've read...

I can't see goldfish being boring but coming from me, it's a biased opinion because I keep several and most of my goldies are the fat ones most people seem to dislike (whether they kept them before or not). My goldfish interact readily when I approach the tank and they go into a feeding frenzy when I hand them their favorite foods. Sometimes, they may have mood shifts and even can recognize new foods wherein they would ignore the food at first until constant persuasion prevails over them.

On the other hand, when people tend to think goldfish don't grow to monster size, looking at archives of goldfish forums and articles will prove otherwise but that's another story although it would not hurt to hand out this fun fact from time to time just to let others recognize how they can fit well into a "monster" category.;)
