Guppys are sweet haha all you need is 2 and youll have a army of them in a few months haha can you watch them do the deed, be pregnant, get bigger have babies. idk they were my 1st starter fish.
livebearers serve a purpose in a nice planted tank where the plants are the focal point and not so much fish

Dats, Bichirs, and rays.......

- plecos, ALL of them
- dats
- most smaller peaceful community fish
- most catfish (except for the monsters)
- lungfish
- most saltwater fish

1)Striped Raphael catfish
2)Fancy Plecos (zebras, clowns)
3) Jaguar catfish

The only way I knew my striped Raphael died was the black stripes started to faded

Even at night under a red light I could not see my Zebra Plecos move, My commons were/are active even in the daytime.

The Jaguar would move about 20% of the time during feeding (guess he got hungry). Other then that he stayed in the same spot

:)I feel I have to stand up for one of my favourite type of fish, spotted and striped raphs. I love mine and they are as interactive as a doradiid can be, I see them everytime its feeding and every once in a while they decide to come out from their hiding spots and patrol the tank. An Awesome petfish!
And for the most boring fish... I must say that Lungfish are on of the most ugly and worthless creature that are in this hobby..like someone said, a big piece of turd.

Obviously none of you have ever had banjo catfish. It's the only fish I've ever had to actually poke to see it it was alive. They tend to just hang in one place, slightly curled like a dead fish for hours/days.

No fish really bore me. Every species has its place. My Synodontis Angelicus hides in the light but he is nocturnal. When the light is out he is extremely active. My female bushy nose pleco is always on the move lights or not. What is really boring is any major league baseball game. LOL
