the most ferocious freshwater fish

Adult serras tend to be less shy than pygo's. The general consensus would be rhoms, elongs, and mannys as the most aggressive, i.e. most likely to chase your finger around the tank. As a rule tho most piranhas are skittish and shy and its likely to depend on the individual fish.

Good answer . Also Blacks growth rate is slow when they hit the 6 inch mark .

my rtcxtsn is more agressive then my rbp!!!! haha

thanks for sharing the though, well answers, I always wanted to have black piranhas for my tank, however they are no that easy to find them in the shops over here, I saw 3 of them on display before, they were huge, around 12", but I was to late, they belong to some other customer who bought them first, oh well then, I bought 12 juveniles red bellies instead, with a very very cheap price,
they live well in the pond; and just after 2 days ever since I moved them into the pond, they had their first meal. Well I guest I'm just gonna wait till they get bigger, then I'll move them into a huge tank,
I heard fish grow faster in the pond compare with keeping them in the aquarium.

How are you controlling the temp of that outdoor pond dude?.

You have to mantain 27-30 fopr piranhas to grow and thrieve?

What filtration system are you using in that pond?.

Cheers.

as for shoal, i find the caribes more aggressive than the pirayas, maybe just the ones i saw... but i know few people who kept them in large shoals and think the same...

I dunno how to describe it, but I do have pond filtration system, the pond was used for KOI fish before, now that the KOI have gone, the RBP move in; about the temperature, I dont think I have that problem here, I live in a tropical country, so the tempetures are constant, there are not much different between night and days, besides the pond it self is very large and deep,
cheers
