thanx...i have read this aswell, but that if i remember right was all the trout mixed...i am only talking brookies...i plan to have them for as long as they live witch should be longer then the average, but i don't have their ages now so i can only asume they are 3-4yrs old at this size from that small creek...

I don't spend much time in the Native section and was not aware that you can convert a fridge to a chiller. Perhaps this is a project worth taking on one day.

i was the same way...i always was concerned about getting rays and aros that i kinda forgot this awsome sp is out my back door...i also though it was out of my reach and left it at that...then i caught one 4" brookie out of this stream and though...i WILL do this...and here we have it...
the tank is next to a vent so it go to 68f and the trout were lathargic...so i did a wc and brought the temp down to 54-56f...with in 1 min of the temp drop the trout we reborn...crusing the tank and pounding the guppies i put in...
looks like i found the key temp...put to rest all the places i have read that they will do good at 72f
...i have alot of airation aswell...as soon as i can get a good signal with my phone i will post some more pics from today...

...we put the computer on the bar so i could put a 55gal were it was and i just got a 2gal glowfish/beta tank for the daughter...i put that on the bar also
