I understand exactly where you are coming from, I have followed several of your thds. I have been in the hobby for longer than I care to remember. In the 80's I had a pet shop and a wife [ not fat ] lol I gave the x the boot and she wanted half of the store, there was no way to make a living at it after that so the shop went away the same as the x.
I am sure there are quite a few members here that enjoy making a few $$ selling off fish that they have bred,
including myself and that does help offset the cost of keeping them.

There aren't more than a handful of members on this site that have the ability, dedication and at the same scale as what you are doing. Ray O nomics dictates that blackies are the way to go and I am jumping on the band wagon also but not at your scale. I may end up biting my tung on this but I think I will be perfectly Happy with 1 pair of leos.

Was just saying.....

I thought I'd be happy with 1 pair of nice Marbles but I wanted to be able to go several generations deep in captive breeding. Gonna need a good group of rays to keep lines clean, problem there is it seems there are Marbles with different growth rates so eventually you end up with a group of big ones and a group of little ones.

I used to thing there was such a thing as making plans with rays but anymore I've accepted the fact that it's an adventure, and you never know where the heck you're going to end up. At this point I'm along for the ride.
