SuncatxRaphael= a spiny catfish with a black spot. That sounds nice to me.
SuncatxBullhead= looks like a reg cat to me.
SuncatxSyno= looks umm a syno with a large spot?

Only real issue i have with the purposed hybrid is there is no recorded reproduction of of platydoras in captivity. Even rtc have been reproduced in captivity so that is a huge hurdle. There is a wealth of info in suncats. There are very aggresaive breeding programs fir them since they are endangered in their native range.

You are probably right. Thinking of possibly doing a fishing trip very soon. I still need to get a license, and redo my tackle slightly lol. Been a few years since i went fishing lol. Hopefully my bullhead spot is still good.

Hmm with gas prices it might just be cheaper to buy a few online and have them shipped to my house. Found some cheap ones. Could just order like 3 or 4 bullheads and have them shipped for less than a one night fishing trip. My van=10mpg on the highway. Would take a full tank to go where I need to and back so that's $85. Food for me, batteries for the aireator, bait, fishing license, ect. Probably about the same haha. MIght just go fishing to go fishing. Gonna costs over $100 either way.
What about silvertip shark x bullhead? Be interesting to see if the brackish need carries through..

How are you going to get the eggs/sperm out of the breeders? Is there a process? I know with koi if you want to manually spawn them you just squeeze the 'stuff into a bowl nothing really difficult about that I have NO idea with catfish though.
UPDATE PAAAALEZZZZ LOL.... Beacuse of this thread I had to go get me some bullheads. So I'm a lgm bass kinda guy but had to make an exception I took a ride to the big pond lake michigan. found a small creek running into the lake and guess what I found? a school of half inch bull heads got my kids sand bucket and filled it up no bait needed saaaaaweeeeeeet!!!!
Yeah this is officially on hold until i can get my stuff from my failed marriage more taken care of. Trying to save to go bankrupt first. Then i need to save for a car since my credit is ruined no one will give me a loan for anything.
