They sell pond Prime, and it's 42 dollars that treats 40,000 gallons. Wonder if it's any different and if I could use that instead of regular prime.

My bad, it was on sale. But still, 45 dollars for 20,000 gallons isn't bad. How does that $amount work out for the NovAqua?

Not sure who sells the novaaqua other than petsmart. It was on sale and I had a gift card to use so I bought it. That was a few months ago, so I havent' had the need to look elsewhere for it. Either way, $45 to treat 20k gallons is a good good price. Thanks for sharing.

I don't know either. I think I saw this brought up in another thread. Water is water in my opinion, regardless if it's inside or outside. If its used for the same purpose, I can't see that it would matter.

Did a quick search, looks like Pond Prime is a more concentrated version.

Looks like you just use half as much Pond Prime as you would regular Prime, so 1 ml treats 20 gallons, and one capful (5 ml) treats 100 gallons.

I know what I'm going to be buying from now on!

WOW!!!!!! This thread has gone overboard....loving it.....
Since its already derailed, does anyone know how to add fish to
a new tank without any established gravel, etc...
yes the water will be primed first.....

You fishless cycle the tank using plain ammonia. I bought mine at ACE hardware. It's labeled as "janitorial grade."

Try the Stability if you have the $$ to try it. If not, just cycle it without fish first, trust me, you will be so thankful you did! Even if it takes a few weeks, cycling with fish is a PAIN and takes even longer, since you have to do massive water changes, in order to protect the fish from the toxins created by their waste.

Fish-less cycle, don't put any fish through the torture of a cycle!
