He wanted a real gar but a false gar is a better choice for him

why would you say so? a 6x3 is an excellent footprint for all gars for a long time for some even for life.

i wasnt trying to be mean. and i see where your coming from. i was just giving my opinion and some info on rocket gar. sorry if i offended you.

since his tank is 6x3 then i suggest a florida/spotted.

I'm not offence, truly;rather, I'm very happy you have answered my question (o tried to do it!) and thanks for the time you have ededicated me:).Yes, I want a true gar (or I didn't pos here!) but every suggestion is OK.So a 6'x2' is ok for a lot of gars?can I keep for his entire life a florida gar? In the tank there is unfortunately a Jardini arowana...but he doesn't seem aggressive. If I want keep a florida gar with he, is better if I buy he smallest or bigger than the aro?

i woulnt suggest putting a gar in with the jardini. if you do decide to put a gar in with him then get one of the same size or larger. this way the gar will be able to try to defend itself alittle better. but if/when the jar starts beating the gar. the gar will just run away. and yes you could more than likely keep a florida gar in that tank for life. but i do not suggest keeping a gar with such an aggressive fish.

If you decide to go for the fake gars, dont go for den Hujeta, it sucks and is damn ugly. Go for the Boulengerella Maculata instead. They are so cool and without doubt my favorite fish.

I bouth a "Alligator Gar" from a European importer. The gar turned out to be a Florida/spotted, witch makes me happy. Try and check if it really is Alligator gars they are selling at your importer.

Greets, Christian.
