You will almost be guaranteed a job being a guy in Elementary school. Plus the little ones listen a lot better than the big kids do. My wife plays with the little ones. I take the big ones on.

I am pretty tough teacher too. I use college level books. Heck the AP people copied my textbook choice. It is for my freshman as well. I make them write research papers in MLA format. Projects and tests, plus they have to behave. Image what it must be like for a student who has me for class and then I was the Dean of discpline at the same time. Atlest this year I have too many classes to have to deal with that as well. 4 different preps and no prep period. I have a study for prep. Next semester I think I am down to three different preps and a study Hall. Maybe I can get a real prep period!

I saw the mock up for our new school next year today! I can not wait for it. I will get to setup more fishtanks when I have the space all year instead of leasing for the school year.

If teaching paid more, it would be the best job in the world!!!!

How many people if they won the Lotto for 150 million plus would still go to work everyday? I know I would!

get an elementary license. It is for k-6. Intermediate schools go to 6th and some elementary still do. It is a great job. They might tell you that you get three months off in the Summer, but really they jam a years work into 9 months. Then ask you to work free overtime planning and such in the summer...lol

I am tough, but my kids have to get ready for college class by junior year. If I do not push them, they will not be prepared and will fail. I can not allow them to do that, so I push them hard.

Maybe you guys are more serious about it, but i remember in high school that junior year was hyped up to be test of whether or not you will be a complete failure. When in reality all it was....was to stay on top of things and was no different that any other year. College is a breeze compared to high school given you don't need your parents to tell you when to do your homework. :shakehead

IMO getting into college was so hyped up. I was in the top 30% of my class, nothing specatuclar...and still got into every school i applied to.
