Man, yall rock! I love people who fight to give someone the chance to learn! I squandered my true potential but i can only blame myself...The benefit to going through what i did is i have realized my mistakes and strive for change. I was sober for 4 months but recently have resumed drinking. But now i have a handle on alcohol rather than the other way around. I messed up bad outa high school, i went to trade school to be a mechanic. I suceeded very well at school but had the issue of being young trying to come up in a trade. Add in an education in said field and you prolly get the picture....I didn't give up tho, i messed up royally and got a DUI. So im basically screwed as a mechanic for 10 yrs....and ive also realized that i love working on cars as a HOBBY, working in the field made it less and less enjoyable. Thanks to one of the worst things i've ever done i've realized what i should do, and its teach. BTW sorry for babbling so much but i don't get on here as much lately so i had to catch up on this thread. Random thought: I saw a bumper sticker today that said "If you can read this, thank a teacher!" Too true, lol, keep rocking everyone!

Only downside to the big change in my drinking is i cant sleep most of the time. So im on these forums and stuff all night LOL! From one addiction to another!

College is a breeze, when you have finished high school. My student are taking college class for dual credit by their Junior year, at a local college. It is not just another year for them. It is a little different than most of the experience anyone else has faced. Most of my student are fist generation college students as well. Which means no family member can truly prepare them for the events ahead.

College is also easier because you choose what classes to take and when you want to take them. When you give people choices they are much happier about what they need to do.

If you ask our students, I'm sure they'd say we suck too. We get paid to make you miserable and ruin your day. Didn't you know that?
True true but none of our teachers have Tiger Shovelnose Catfish:ROFL:

Two deaths on campus? WTF?!?!?

Please explain more...

First one was a car accident. A senior was DDing, stopped at a stop light, and this guy that thinks he can do anything plows into the back of his car at 75 mph. They guy that rear ended Cameron had a 20% BAC and he's in jail for who knows how long for vehicular man slaughter.

We haven't been informed of the cause of the second death yet.

Yea, well that rule does not apply. We pay for their classes. Since it is state money (our operating money) we can not charge them. That a problem we are trying to address. We have kids drop classes way after cut off and we lose the money on that class.
