Any teacher complaints people can share?

I didnt have ANY heat this entire week!!!! Grrrr.....

I only had one teacher i truly hated, well two! The first was my high school math teacher who was just a jerk! He coached girls field hockey and they were always in my class and he payed attention only to them. Well Junior year i found out i didnt need the class for graduation (i excelled in math quickly). For some dumb reason i couldn't drop said class. So i just bsed it and listened to music all the time. He hated that and one day we had a test he handed it to me, i signed my name and handed it back, stating that i had finished! He flipped, (and i was a cocky a double s back then) so i just cussed him out hardcore! He sent me to the deans and the dean liked me coz i was active in tons of after school stuff. So i got sent back with a note saying and i quote "Leave Joe alone he won't bother the class, so don't bother him!" LOL! The other was just a witch! LOL!

Any other teachers here hoping NCLB gets left behind?

im contemplating teaching as well. i graduate in may or next december, pending i get one class, with a BS in Biology. my school has a 14month masters program (http://www.kennesaw.edu/education/grad/MAT%20ChemorPhy.htm) for biology teaching. this summer is the first they will be offering it. the best part is the state will pay for alot of it you just have to work x amount of years in the state of GA for the x amount of money they put in.

wow. this thread is very encouraging. I graduated out of rutgers in fine arts, and now considering teaching media arts at tech or university level. I'll leave the rugrats to you guys/girls- lol. What you guys do keeps our world together and moving foward. I'm sure you have all heard this one time or another, but to all under appreciated teachers, we all owe you so much praise for the hard work, patience, and time.

Another teacher here. I've been teaching fourth grade for ten years now. Amazing job. It's made me a better person.

I'm probably going to become a high school art teacher. I could still do my own artwork on the side, get paid vacations, and I can essentially create my own curriculum as an art teacher. I couldn't teach elementary school art, my color deficiancy would confuse the kids too badly.

I think all the teachers I know are ready to see the end of Nickle-Bee!
