well the title is self explanatory...

ill start.
today my dad was going to petsmart and i decided to tag along so i could get an african brown knifefish, which ive wanted for about a week. we got there and i walked into the fish section with a smile on my face. i would finally be getting my abk!
well, i wandered about looking for an employee and finally found one. but first i had to ask my dad if i could get the knife. to my surprise, he said,
"Youve got 10 fish in that tank, and you want another one?! why do you always spend your money on fish? keep youre money so you have some to spend in Boston..." (were going to boston for a 3day mini vacation) "... on a souvenir or something. maybe we can come here at the end of summer for you to get the fish."

I was fuming and am still pretty pissed... honestly im not gonna want anything in boston and im gonna come home with the same $25 that i left with... its just that my dad hates my fish obsession and it seems like hes always trying to do something to mess it up...

oops, almost forgot to say that im only 14 so i have to listen to my dad...

If you want the last laugh do both. There are a couple of good LFS in boston. Skiptons is one of them. Do exactly as your dad asks and get you ABF there. So you technically do as asked and get the fish you want anyway.

I think I might be able to give up all my fish if someone is going to put a free roof over my head, drive me around, pay for my food, AND take me on vacation. So anyway, I agree with Jcardona1.

I'd rather take a beating then go on a family vacation in a minivan from CT to Boston. My parents loved those types of vacations till I left for college, now they fly with my brother to Mexico and Europe. So I'd have to disagree. I prefer to pay for my own roof and bills, but when I lived at home I had to fix things constantly so it was like working two jobs.

Yes I remember fondly those days. They sucked and for the most part so i know where you are coming from, I still and always will love my parents but living with them even for free room and board with laundry is a no way.

i would love to check out the lfs's in boston but theres no way in hell my dad and stepmom would take me to an lfs on vacation, or even on the way home from vacation...

i can wait, anyways.
