Dont get me wrong i love things that go bang, and i do agree with what your saying, I i think its probbaly just the ammount of people with guns compared to other countries which means theres more of a chance for somthing to happen that puts it in a bad light. Or Iv been watching to much CSI....

Ah yes right at the top of the list (things the annoy me) would be the media on both sides of the fence. Right up there with bigots that give gun owners a bad name, and there's at least one at each gun show that the media keeps front and center.

well since we're now on this lovely subject, lets continue take a look at the two weapons below. the black one is my AR15. the plain looking rifle is a Ruger Mini 14. For those that dont know about guns, which gun is "scarier" and looks like its sole purpose is to kill people? Obviously the black one right? looks like a killing machine gun from hell.

BUT, they are essentially the EXACT SAME RIFLE. they both fire a .223 round at the same rate of fire; semi automatic. my black AR15 is what was is known as an assault weapon and was banned up until a few years ago, while the wooden rifle is perfectly legal, even though its the same gun pretty much.

why you ask? because of a stupid law that outlawed guns on cosmetic features like collapsible stock, pistol grip front/back, flash hider, etc. none of which affect the guns ability to fire a round any differenly than the wooden rifle. hopefully this sheds some light on how stupid gun laws can be and how the corrupt media twists the actual meanings of words to scare the public

Brit PD don't carry them but then SAS get deployed in civilian areas like Heathrow.

I understand theres not a need for a Gun, but unless you have a use for it such as sporting or hunting, then is it not just a trophy in a cabinet?

British Police do have sections of there force that are dedicated armed responce units, these occur in most forces round the country now, the SAS are only usualy deployed for high importance tasks

if its just a trophy in a cainet or safe that never gets taken out, whats the problem then? why fear what you cant see or wont hurt you?

Iv got a bit of experience with shooting 5.56 7.62 and some small bore rifles, dosn't stuff like that just get in the way of being able to shoot well. Added weight and all, collapsible stock and the flash eliminator may be useful for hunting and a rear pistol grip..

well, your nation can never take your firearms away, it's written in your constitution. they can only put up "stupid laws" to prohibit you from having certain weapons. not a bad compromise imo, if you're so enthusiastic about weapons.

anywho, imo a firearm with a nice timber stock is far better looking then some plastic/carbon firearm with all these grips and "cosmetics"

not really. the only differences between this and the military's M4 Carbine would be the bipod and the railed forend. other than that, its just the civilian's version of the M4. add the SOPMOD kit and you have something basically the same as mine. except the military's is much cooler
