  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wheatgerm just saw your post you type fast than me at 7 days you should be good to go

I would have to agree to let them cure and not rush it. With the progress you made in such a short time I would start working on the stands, place the tanks on the stands and do your test fill like you stated. Great looking work and you really don't mess around.

Thanks, once I get s project going I dedicate most my free time to it (the wife says its a bit of a problem lol) and yes the last 3 joints were poured about 60 hours ago but they were all on the top joints... All the main joints on the walls and floors of the tanks were poured 5-7 days ago. Now I'm second guessing if I should test fill tomorrow or not... I'm itching to see if these things hold or not!!!

Alrite just makin sure lol im not good with numbers, sounds like u waited enough...still makes me pretty nervous to be honest but im sure theyll b fine. I have no doubht what so ever there gonna hold water. Theres no way they wont with all the glue u put on. Just dont wanna see anything seperate. I usually go by if i can smell any glue or not as a rule of thumb but i also never do a test fill so my tanks usually have a good 1-2 weeks to chill before i can get someone to help me move them again. I have had customers that filled tanks back up 24hrs after ive done crack/patch repairs with #40 so that should be some reassurance for u. Def. A good idea u got goin with the stands and testing on the tops. Cant beat that.

I agree I wouldn't want anything to seperate either.. The only piece I glued in that WASNT already glued together years ago was the middle walls where I had cut them apart and that was also the first place I glued 7 days ago. All the rest was from the original tank and I only added extra support over those seams.. Hoping all goes well tomorrow then wish me luck lol I better get to building the top frame of my stand to set the tank on :)

Nice!
But your crazy..i would have given it 2 weeks atleast to cure.
HOpe they hold for ya. Makes me wanna build a tank.
But dang 1/2" sheets of acrylic are spendy...and 3/4" even more.
